The obverse features a gramatical error 'HRVATSKAU' instead of 'HRVATSKU'. Probably struck during WWII by Third Reich as propaganda pieces, despite what Bruce says.

Delmonte 737; Weiler 145; Brause-Mansfeld pl. 19, 9; Mailliet 6; KM 26 AU-50.   NGC   Toned, with much lustre in the devices. Crack on lower left edge, as struck. During the Franco-Dutch War of 1672-1678, Bishop Christoph Bernhard von Galen of Munster laid seige to Groningen with the aid of the French allies. The siege was repelled, and this coin was struck immediately thereafter, to commemorate its conclusion. Also considered a Half Daalder.

Counterfeit Cayenne obverse dated 1782-A.
Olrog typ 10-13; AAJ 4b; KM 2.4; cf. Ponterio 147: 754 Good VF.     Counterstamp unevenly stamped on a brass local copy of a 2 Sous. In 'Sveriges Besittningsmynt' (AAJ), the dates ascribed to this issue were Circa 1808-1812. However the last coinage was initiated in 1834 and may have lasted until decimalization in 1864. All crown c/m dates are tentative, beginning before 1797.

Although all St. Maarten countermarks of this type are rare, this denomination is extremely rare. It weighs about half what the more common 2 Stuiver weighs.
