Caliph al-Mustansir ruled from 1036-1094. This earlier imitative type features obviously blocky calligraphy in the spirit of the original Islamic type, but blundered. It lacks the Cross, and letters B or T added later on more common types.

A bit toned, but much of the original silvering remains. Scarce, Rare in this grade. Double struck obverse. This is the last European colonial issue of Cyprus before the Ottomans expelled the Venetians from the island. This coin sought to appear similar to the Sixains of Jean II minted on Cyprus a hundred years prior.
